REAL GORGEOUS

learning to waltz with the man dressed as a groom
with a corsage of pink carnations pinned to the lapel
of a dry cleaned suit which smells damp and clingy
but not quite new like the fabric covered chair of
faux pas elegance chosen for sitting to the right so that
stealing charity from the annual fund raising ball is okay
when she's watching her own heaving breast from the corner
of her eye like the tears she remembers a bride shedding
but she's no longer sure if it was inside or out of her head
so the image isn't clear and the voice she hears isn't hers
and the distance is a blurred distaste which is not the same
as her fantasy where she's masturbating on his face.
