CONDUIT OF RAIN

I stick my tongue into
the center of your sex
and taste:

night milk, liquid forest,

wood sweating smoke,

honey tanned on the stomach of summer,

kelp twisted in the hair of a drowned man,

garden dripping from the fingers of dawn,

blood, apples, and suffocated air,

brine, garlic, and

your cries:
louder than
crickets or
timpani of the moon.
