Lawrence Carradini

FANDANGO DE LAS CALAVERAS

You didn't tell me your name
or how beautiful you were
I had to guess these
like picking a lock
when one is left
without a key

I had to when --
when I saw your
picture behind lipstick
behind dew-lapped window
dressing your naked truth oh so
silk yellow tickling belly tongued

lover at your breast

lover at your breast

erect on window light

if wishes were kisses
if wishes   you would

be

wet and I would

be
