Sundress Publications is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2025 Microgrant for Palestinian Writers is Amal Kiswani. She will receive $500, a one-week residency at the Sundress Academy for the Arts in Knoxville, TN, and the potential for publication of her grant-supported project.
Amal Kiswani is a Palestinian-American writer exploring identity, culture, and the emotional landscape of Arab womanhood. Her work weaves philosophy, personal narrative, and intimacy. She shares personal essays on Substack in a column titled with love,. Her poetry has been published in Aster-Lit and The Ave.
We would also like to recognize this year’s finalists Zeina Azzam, Malek Afaneh, Fairouz Bsharat, and Nasma Kublawi.
