Mordecai Martin
Mordecai Martin is a bisexual psychiatric survivor, a 5th generation New York Jew, a translator of Hebrew and Yiddish poetry and prose, and a writer. He would like to take this space to draw attention to the ongoing genocidal attacks on Palestine and the Palestinian people by the Zionist occupation, and ask that the reader do everything in their power to bring these attacks to an end and to bring about a free Palestine. His translations and original work have been published in Asymptote, Exchanges, Turkoslavia, Honey Literary, Timber Journal and the tiny magazine, among other literary publications. He is a 2026 – 2027 Yiddish Book Center Translation Fellow, and he lives in Mexico City with his wife, child and Pharaoh-Let-My-People-Go the cat.
