Kimberly Ann Priest is the author of Wolves in Shells, winner of the 2024 Backwaters Prize in Poetry from the University of Nebraska Press, as well as tether & lung (Texas Review Press) and Slaughter the One Bird (Sundress Publications). An assistant professor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures and affiliate faculty in the Center for Gender in Global Context at Michigan State University, her writing and scholarly interests are deeply focused on gender-based trauma, domestic ecologies, eco-poetics, eco-spirituality, ecofeminism, women’s studies, neurodivergence studies, classic film studies, narrative justice, arts-based research, and writing for therapeutic purposes. Her poetry has appeared in literary journals such as Copper Nickel, Poetry Wales, Prairie Schooner, and Birmingham Poetry Review.
